I feel her pain, in far too many ways I've experienced, but there's no way I could've told the story as eloquently as Kim. But I was powerless once she set her mind. The vows I gave to God & my wife, were in sickness & health. Never would've even been thought about by me. I lost my oldest at 36, & watched in horror as my now ex-wife fell into alcoholism & after 5 years of hell, she chose divorce. But not s word about me, I was alive to see my sons graduate & become extremely successful young men. Due to several prior health issues, I beat the cancer, but ended up disabled. Within less than a year I was fighting for my life, against stage 3 Melanoma & 6 self administered Interferon injections a week for a year. since I was lugging my 400 watt stereo amp across the infield grass of the baseball stadium we played ar. Got as far as opening with a Classic rock, variety band, for the Gatlin brothers, who came out early to compliment the band & my voice. Once I felt I'd done all I could to raise my boys into the great young men they became, I started out to start my music career over. ![]() I'd made a vow before age 13, that my wife & children would always be #1in my life. Still it was the band I was most proud to be a part of. We were limited to the 3 clubs on base & with our variety, for base celebrations. Still under the ruling of the Dictator Franco, even with a Spanish guy in the band.
